From humble beginnings at a kitchen table…
We at the One Woman Project believe that the first step to ending global gender inequity is to educate and upskill our young people to tackle it in their own local, national and international communities.
Established in 2013, the One Woman Project is one of Australia's fastest growing, youth-led organisations. We are dedicated to providing quality education about global gender equity through our educational seminar series, engagement events, in-school programs, public awareness campaigns, Rural Roadtrips and annual festivals.
With teams in Queensland, Victoria and internationally, we run events, seminars, workshops and campaigns all dedicated to achieving one goal: global gender justice within our lifetimes.
From humble beginnings sitting at a kitchen table in late 2013, to engaging with almost 40, 000 young people by 2021, the One Woman Project has grown to be a force to be reckoned with.
We first started off delivering our Seminar Series in Brisbane, before expanding to monthly events and film screenings, partnerships with other organisations, online content and videos, and more!
At present, we deliver the following activities:
Seminar Series (nationally and globally);
In-School Workshops (in Queensland);
Rural Roadtrips (in Queensland);
Ebooks, blogs & RARA Magazine (nationally and globally);
Brisbane Feminist Festival (in Queensland); and
Engagement & Outreach Events (in Queensland and Victoria, nationally for online events).
